Riding the Wave: Tampa Bay Wave Names Hoy Health a TechDiversity Accelerator Company

Blogs, English

Generating expanded national recognition for helping Hispanics and underserved communities gain access to affordable Rx, primary healthcare services and chronic disease management solutions.

Tampa Bay Wave, an entrepreneurial hub helping tech companies advance their businesses, has officially named Hoy Health among its 2019 selection of diverse companies for its TechDiversity Accelerator program.

Powered by the Nielsen Foundation, this program empowers tech entrepreneurs that are 51 percent owned or operated by a minority, woman, veteran or lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender person, or a combination thereof, to build, launch and grow their businesses into successful ventures.

National Recognition

We are proud to have made this prestigious list – only 10 other companies were selected.  We now join the second cohort in the TechDiversity Accelerator Program, an honor that comes on the heels of Hoy Health being named one of the “Fierce 15” for 2019 by the editors of Fierce Healthcare for the most innovative health care companies across the United States.

Tampa Bay Wave plans to help tech startups develop into “fundable” ventures and enable at least five tech startups to reach break-out success. This year’s roster of companies comes from across the nation and encompasses a slew of industries.

Propelling Innovation

We are grateful to Tampa Bay Wave for ushering us into this inclusive program to help us define our future and get our innovative solutions to those who need it most.

Standing out in the crowd comes down to the significant value we offer. Our platform offers underserved consumers, including under- and uninsured Hispanics, access to affordable care, medications and chronic condition support programs that they can purchase for themselves or their loved ones.

The TechDiversity Accelerator Program will help us to better serve Hispanics and other underserved populations that not only face healthcare barriers in the United States, but also experience sub-optimal healthcare because of cultural and language differences.

We focus on solutions to address these disparities by dramatically streamlining access to quality health and wellness products, enabling individuals to get low cost medications and helping them to better manage chronic health conditions. Our solutions include HoyMEDS, a prescription medication discount program; HoyRX, a medication discount voucher program; HoyCCM, a clinical chronic condition management program and its direct to consumer retail counterpart HoyLIFE chronic condition management kit; and HoyDOC, a telemedicine program.
